Hi there,
My name is Denis Roschlau.
Well, i guess the name of my website might have given this away already…
Born in 1979, I grew up in Minden, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
After school i trained to be a pilot and lived in Bremen for around two years, before i finally moved to Munich, Bavaria (just south of Germany :-)) in 2003, where i am living with my wife and daughter, happily ever after.
I currently fly for Lufthansa as a Pilot on the A330, A340 and A350.
Photography basically started with the purchase of my first digital camera back in flight school.
While i started out with aviation photography, it wasn´t long until i went to South Africa for the first time and was hooked on nature and wildlife photography instantly and ever since.
Although my photography isn´t limited to african subjects, i keep returning to southern Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe so far), as often as i possibly can.
Other favourite places include Point Reyes in California and of course Munich and surroundings including the Chiemgau.
As a Nikon shooter, I currently own a Nikon D5 and lenses like these:
AF-S NIKKOR 14–24 mm 1:2,8G ED
AF-S NIKKOR 24–70 mm 1:2,8E ED VR
AF-S NIKKOR 70–200 mm 1:2,8E FL ED VR
AF-S NIKKOR 180–400 mm 1:4E TC1,4 FL ED VR
